York Region Educational Services

York Region Educational Services (YRES) is a federally registered not-for-profit organization and recipient of Canada’s Volunteer Award, dedicated to leading community volunteerism and empowering youth. We provide mentorship, hands-on training, and skill-building workshops to prepare students for meaningful service placements across Canada that address social isolation, inequality, and unemployment. By joining YRES, students gain valuable career readiness skills, build their resumes, and make a positive impact in their community, all while earning eligible volunteer hours toward their Secondary School Diploma requirement.
